still loving valencia!
last wednesday i went to my first eurofutbol game, wow! for a wed night, that place was crowded. a group of us went to a bar before and got 1 euro beers and "bocadillas" which are lil sandwiches. it was a lot of fun, i posted a video of the game online. valencia won in overtime, so everyone went out and celebrated afterwards.
on thurs, i had my food and society class which seems like it is going to be awesome. we went to the market during class to participate in a scavenger hunt. the central mercado is huge and im pretty sure its the largest fresh produce market in western europe. the food is awesome there but also saw some weird things like live eel and skinned sharks...no thanks! everyone there was really friendly and even got to stand behind the counter for a photo op. this class seems like it should be a good time, my homework for next fri: cook and bring in tapas for the class!
on fri, the program took us to the city of arts and sciences. we took a bus to get there and then walked a little bit. all of the sudden we saw the most amazing and modern plaza just pop up out of no where. its unreal! we saw an exhibit at the museum that used superheroes to explain science phenomenons so that was pretty fun. after that we headed over to the aquarium which is where i spent the rest of the day. we went to a dolphin show, saw a beluga whale, penguins, and walked through a massive shark tank-tunnel. it was VERY cool!
tommorow im going with ten or so other people on a snowboarding trip. our bus leavs at 7 so i gotta get some sleep in tonight! miss everyone!
