Peak Of Grouse And The Vengeance Snowboard

November 11, 2007 - Vancouver, Canada

Hello Everyone,

Justin At The TopWe had a nice day out yesterday. I had a couple of hours of training on the mountain, so Mel met me afterwards and we went for a bit of a wander to the peak of Grouse Mountain. The main facilities are not on the peak, so we wanted to check out the view from the very top.

As you can see from the photos there is no snow around the mountain, everybody is hanging out for it to come so that they can start skiing/boarding. The views were great, you can't really see too far in the photos as it was a bit hazy.

There are also some pics of the Timberwolves that live in a sanctuary on the mountain. I went to take some photos of them and just as I got there an ambulance passed nearby with sirens wailing. Of course this set off the wolves and all three of them started howling. It was pretty cool, I'll be posting the video of it shortly. Wolf Again

On the way home we decided to check out a snowboard store. I hadn't really intended to buy a board there and then, but Mel dove straight in and bought one. Of course I got jealous and went ahead and got one out of spite! So my board will have to be named accordingly...Board of Spite, Vengeance Board, Jealousy Board? Feel free to make a suggestion!

Snowboard ChickWell we have boards now, all we need is some snow, fingers crossed!

Yo Justoid,

I think you should just stick with Vengeance Board. Although Malevolence Board sounds pretty damn cool too.

I haven't had much time to check out your blogs or your photo's until now so I've sat here for the last hour or so catching up on it all. It sounds like you're having a great time and your photo's look awesome.

I've had itchy feet ever since I got back from Japan and checking all this out has got my travel bugs going overtime. I'm gonna go and quit my job right now and jump on a plane! ... well, not really.
