Happy Fathers Day!!!!!!!!!!!!!

June 15, 2008 - Balad, Iraq

I'm sure all of you know today is Father's Day!!!!! I’d like to wish all the Dad's out there a Happy Father’s Day, especially my Dad and step dad. Even though I can’t celebrate this day with you in person, know that I’m thinking about you. Love you!

I will be missing out on a few celebrations this next week, so I'd like to wish my step mom a Happy Birthday and wish my cousin Kathy nothing but the best as she is getting married this coming Saturday. Looks like I'll be missing out on another family gathering. At this point I'm sure all my Aunts and Uncles have forgotten about me... hahaha!

The big news over here in Iraq is that we've been dealing with dusty weather the past week and a half which means lots of sirens and alarms. Nothing better than hanging out in a bunker or hiding under your bed.... hahahahaha..... Oh well what can you do.

Okay okay, I know you all have been waiting for this..... Here is the latest Kelly joke.... ENJOY!

A red neck walks into a hardware store and asks for a chainsaw that will cut 6 trees in one hour. The salesman recommends the top of the line model. The red neck is suitably impressed, and buys it. The next day he brings it back and says, "This chainsaw is defective. It would only cut down 1 tree and took ALL DAMN DAY!" The salesman took the chainsaw, starts it up to see what's wrong, and the red neck asks, What's that noise?"

Oh Kelly your humor amazes me... hahahaha!

I'd like to thank my friend Danielle for her care package, I will put all those trinkets to good use. haha! I also need to thank Pete Patterson for his care package, the peanuts are delicious and go great with the peanut butter you sent as well. Other than that I've been trying to follow along with the US Open as Tiger Woods is battling a sore knee but still looks pretty good. Even with a sore knee my money is on Tiger to win his 3rd US Open. I don't know about the rest of you but football season begins in two and a half months, so I'm looking forward to that as usual. Nothing better than watching and cheering for UCF, Texas, and Washington Redskins!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good to hear that you're doing okay, Justin! Looks like your "money on Tiger" will have to wait one more day. I certainly believe the edge goes to him...Mediate has never been in this position before so it's going to be next to impossible to face-down Tiger for 18 holes, man-to-man. Having said that, his knee may be the "decider." What's a good address for you? Be glad to send over some goodies.
Take care and keep your head down!

The Lakers folded last night. They just gave up. The Celtics defense was simple. Stop Kobe1kanobe
I am happy for the 3 vets finally getting that ring.
Lakers are young so this ass whippin will mature them. Luke Walton needs to go home and cry to daddy. Also he should stay home. I heard their is a equipment manager job for the Bruins. Perfect for him. Ceraphite is one of the softest known materials on earth. That is now up for debate after Paul Gasol's performance.
