Happy 4th of July!!!!!!!!

July 3, 2008 - Balad, Iraq

I know I know, I haven't posted a new blog in over two weeks but I've been busy and a little under the weather. Let me just say that being sick especially in the middle of the desert really SUCKS! Oh well enough about that because I'm sure nobody cares... haha! I'd like to send a big thank you to Carrie and Stefanie for their unexpected care package, thank you once again for all the goodies. The nerf football is actually quite fun. I'd like to send birthday wishes to my good friend Brian, who is celebrating the 10th Anniversary of his 21st birthday today...  So, Happy Birthday BT! Wish I could be there to cause some trouble with you, but guess that can wait until I return home in October.

Tomorrow is the 4th of July and I know many of you will be out celebrating with family/friends, so have fun and enjoy yourselves but just remember to be safe. Ok enough of being Mr. Responsible.... Go out and light off as many firecrackers and bottle rockets as possible, keep the neighbors up all night, etc etc.... Not quite sure what I'll be doing... oh wait.... I'll be working....!

I don't know if it’s me or just coincidence that I'm going to be missing yet another family wedding. My cousin cousin Melissa will be getting married on Saturday to Heath (I feel for them as they are both Aggies). I wish you two nothing but the best and sorry I couldn't be there to help celebrate with you. Oh and HOOK 'EM HORNS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Before I forget let me share with you the latest joke from Kelly....... There are two cows, chatting over the fence between their fields and the first cow said, "I tell you this mad-cow-disease is pretty scary. They say it is spreading fast; I heard it hit some cows down on the Johnson Farm." The other cow replies, "I’m not worried, it don't affect us ducks."..... hahaha!

There really is much else going on over here. The temperature continues to rise which hasn’t really affected me too much, but then again there really isn’t much humidity which I’m thankful for. Hard to believe we are already in July which means I’m half way thru my journey. I wish everyone the best and until next time. Happy Readings!!!!!!

We missed you at the wedding, but you were there in our thoughts. Enjoyed everyone's company, and of course Mel looked beautiful, and Heath, too.
I know you would have participated in the Aggie War Hymn at the reception just to be nice - NOT!
Sorry you're puny! Hope you feel better.

hey that joke stunk! are you sure BT didn't give that one to you? That Kelly guy just seems too funny to give shoddy material like that. Quit using hacks to get your jokes!
