We had a lot of rumors flying around about breaks, Thailand, Taiwan, Australia (I actually may have started that one... long story...) and ending. Turns out ending was the right one. I guess they just couldn't get anything else confirmed right now so April 6th will be our last performance in Korea and then we will fly home on the 7th!
I'm feeling very ready to come home. I'm not sure exactly what I will do when I get back, but I feel like I made the most of my time here and it's time to move on. Especially after the last 2 weeks of doing 4 tracks at once and it changing almost daily, I have DONE 42nd Street.
When we get back auditions season will be coming to an end so hopefully I will be able to catch some stuff in New York after a quick trip to Virginia to see my parents, Duke, Toto, Jeanine, and repack my bags. Some of us are thinking about maybe a quick celebratory trip to Vegas or something so we'll see what happens. Definitely will be back in New York though! I miss it so!
I'm working on a top ten list of things I'm most excited for when I get back to the States. Of course family and friends would be #1, so this will be things that might not be quite so obvious.
The show is coming to a close in Seoul and wow did it fly by. I remember not long ago saying "oh wow 2 whole months in Seoul. That's SO long!!" and now it's practically over! Thursday is our last show and then we travel to Daegeon for about 10 days. South Korea is pretty small so all the cities are fairly close- no long bus rides like China! Thank goodness...
My Korean has actually gotten pretty good! I had my last lesson on Thursday but I'm going out for lunch with my teacher on Tuesday so I can see her one more time. She's taking me to a Korean restaurant. I will miss her, as well as our local mandoo restaurant! The cook there is little wonderful, crazy Korean woman who always helps me with what I'm learning. Plus the mandoo (Korean dumplings) are fantastic!
The next 6 weeks are going to fly by! Can't wait to see you all so soon!!!
