Vancouver...

July 1, 2008 - Vancouver, Canada

... made it definitely on my top five cities list. A great place to enjoy life. You can spend the morning in the mountains and the afternoon at the beach including a nice sunset dinner. Then the next day you go for a walk through Stanley Park (more like a big forest) and maybe spend a weekend on Vancouver Island, back to nature.
I had the pleasure to stay with Martha (my friend and very welcoming & friendly host) and her flatmates. Their hospitality made my stay very relaxed and easy and since the weather was so great I just had to decide which one of the '1000 things do to' in Vancouver. I've choose the following 'activities':

- a day trip to Vancouver Island
- enjoying Vancouver's beaches and parks (definitely several days filling programme)
- great lunch and a Vancouver sightseeing tour with Sara's Mum Bobbi (Thanks and it was really nice to see you again ;-))
- shopping (I'm official fan of lulu lemon!)
- going out for breakfast
- for dinner
- for drinks
- and watch the sunset
- choose between 218 ice cream flavours
- and I think I shouldn't forget to mention my daily portion of Sushi (they already know me at the local take away, slightly worrying I know)
- and so much more that I can't recall now....

Yes I had a really great time and the days just flown by (well except for the painful 1,5h on Sunday lunchtime, it was really hard to watch even if you are a few thousand K's away...).

Thanks again Martha for all your help and advice (and I am not only talking about the lovely drawn maps ;-)). Therefore be warned I will come back and next time we are going to do the sailing trip (you know what you have to do ;-))!

218 Eissorten? Aber nicht in einer Eisdiele, oder? :-)

Hi Katja,

geile Bilder.

People are going to think that all we do in Vancouver is eat Gelato and watch the sunset. I feel now is not the time to post the German phrases you taught me...
