second week

October 9, 2006 - Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

On Monday, Nur and I stayed at home for the first time since I got here. There were some men that came and put up air cons in the bedrooms. We went out for dinner and had satay, which was delicious. And slept in a cold room :D
On Tuesday we got lost on the way to the national zoo and Batu caves temple. We climbed 272 steps to get to the top and look inside the pretty caves and at the statues. There were a lot of monkeys. We then meet up with two of Nur’s friends; Farhan and Akif. We went bowling and watched the Wicker Man, the most interesting part was hear the guy in front of us snoring.
On Wednesday, we caught a coach to Taiping to visit Nur’s dad. He drove us round showing us the palaces, the river, mosque and museum. We went to the hairdresser where I got the best head, shoulder and neck massage. Then we went on a night safari (going round a zoo at night).
On Thursday, we caught a ferry to Pangkor island and went snorkelling. Saw a few pretty fish but that was it. Stayed the night and next day we went swimming and chilled out on the beach before catching the ferry back to Taiping.
Nur’s dad then took us to Penang, we went across the 3rd longest bridge in the world. Had a tour of the island
On Saturday, we got a coach back to KL. Farhan picked us up and we went to KLCC. I got henna put on my arm (see pic). Then we went to this posh hotel for dinner with Nur’s family. I ate shrimp and crabs. Then the three of us went to Putrajaya to have a look around.
On Sunday, we went to KL tower. Didn’t go up it as it was very expensive. Then we went to Times Square, which is a shopping centre with a theme park inside :D. we went on all the rides and then Nur throw up twice. (hope you’re not eating your dinner while reading this). After we went bowling again (I got a double strike :D), we went to Sunway pyramid for dinner. We had steam boat which is very nice. Then we went to the Merdeka Park.
