Sorry it took me so long to write a new entry. But honestly not a lot has been going on. So it’s kind of pointless to write about how great I’ve been, since you guys already know that! Old news!@#
My weeks consist of uni and working on my project, which is going excellent. Apparently Dr. Bell is really impressed with me, so I guess that’s good motivation haha.
As of Tuesday, I’m analyzing several other drugs too! So watch out, I’m dangerous!!!
I’m not sure if explaining will help you understand what I’m doing, but I’ll try.
So basically when you run a sample, it will be detected (a graph will show on your screen) at a certain time, this is called the migration time. For Amphetamine the migration time is approximately 6.6 minutes. Now we want to have a nice graph of several analytes (drugs) with different migration times. That way you get different peaks over a period of 10 minutes. So right now I’m basically shopping in the lab to see what drugs we have, and analyzing them for their migration time. So far I found 3, Oxycodone; Ephedrine; and d-Pseudoephedrine.
Today I found more drugs in the fridge, which are running right now. So more about that later!
On weekends we usually go to the movies or to Gibbie’s (pub). They already know us @ Gibbie’s, it’s fun when we get there. There’s 2 guys standing outside checking ID, and I was like ‘Where am I from again?” and he’s like ‘I know it!!! *reads passport* OH yea, Holland.’ Hahaha We always make conversation, it’s fun.
The movie we saw last weekend is called ‘21’. It’s about a dude needing $300,000 for school. He enters this team, who plays Blackjack every weekend in Vegas and get rich by counting cards. Way too complicated for me haha. It was a good movie though.
On Saturday all 3 of us went for a haircut. It only cost me like $14, which is really cheap. Chloe and Angela had it cut short, like seriously short and I, per usual, dyed it black and had my split ends cut. She also added some more layers, so it’s still long, just healthy again! ;D
Sunday we went out for dinner @ a place called “Damon’s Grill”. Obviously this is a steakhouse, haha. There are a lot of those around here. Instead of always drinking coke, I ordered a strawberry mojito. Fuck that was delicious!@#
We were invited for a birthday party Tuesday evening. The daughter of a guy @ uni turned 1. She was so cute! We bought her a nice outfit for the summer!
So this is the part that gets interesting, so pay attention and don’t laugh 
It really wasn’t that funny >.>
On Tuesday night we were all sleeping, dreaming of hot guys and what not…when at around 1.30 am the fire alarm in our building went off. Fuck it scared me…I was like wtf is going >.>
At first I thought I had a bad dream or something, but it was so freaking loud, jesus. Talk about getting deaf within minutes!
So I got up and went into the living room to see what was going on. Chloe and Angela also woke up and we were looking at each other like “WTF”. We looked outside and decided it’d be smart and safe to get out of the building. I took my phone, in case I needed to call home. Once outside, everyone from our building was outside as well, wondering what happened. We were all like ‘Where’s the fire?!’ After about 30 minutes freezing in the damn cold (40F) we could go back inside. From what I’ve heard some bastard pulled the alarm as a prank.
So getting back to sleep, which took a while since we were all wide awake, still hearing the alarm in my head…and goddamnit the alarm went off at around 3.15 am AGAIN!@#
We went outside again, because I didn’t want to risk there being a real fire…you never know right?! This time not everyone went out of the building, thinking it was some jerk again. They were right..grrrrrr >.>
So back to bed again and bloody hell it went off at 6am again…Fuck I was pissed off…nonetheless I did go outside again, to make sure! Again nothing was going on >.>
So that was a crazy night where nothing happened, except lack of sleep.
And also I forgot during all this I was wearing my pj’s, so everyone saw me wearing pink!@# Talk about a horrible night
At the time I didn’t care though, I was way too tired!
So yea, guess what time I woke up?!.....11am hahahaha…I thought screw uni, it’s pointless now! Plus the fact that I looked and felt like a zombie.
That day we also heard that it wasn’t some loser pulling the fire alarm, but a bad sensor on the 2nd floor…haha
But with the weather being so awesome, and me always having awesome ideas ;D I proposed to go for a picnic in a park.
So we went to Valley Falls State Park again where they have a picnic area near the waterfalls. It was about 70F yesterday, it was really beautiful. I added some pictures to the ‘Valley Falls State Park’ album. Look for the ones named April 16.
I also posted a few photos of the university during our lunch break. When it’s sunny it looks really great! Check the ‘Lunch Time @WVU’ folder.
