We leave for Sydney tomorrow morning (Sunday). I have to drop Sheri at Brisbane airport on Sunday at 9.30 and then I will be heading down to pick up Tasha and then we will be on our way to Nambucca Heads where we will stop overnight.
Sheri has just been for her last physio appointment and has shown significant progress since she had a cortisone injection in her troublesome ankle on Tuesday. So all is looking good for the tournament which starts on Tuesday 15 April at Olympic Softball Centre in Blacktown. First game is at 2.30 pm against Western Australia and they also play Northern Territory at 5pm.
Tasha and I should get to our accommodation mid afternoon. We are staying in a self-contained cabin at Marsden Park which is about 12 kilometres from the grounds so we are nice and handy.
On Tuesday morning I have organised a visit to Featherdale Wildlife Park so that I can go and visit and photograph some of my koalas for our foster program at the Australian Koala Foundation. I last visited them in 2004 so it will be good to spend some time there again.
Today will be spent getting organised and packing the car and making sure the animals are ok. Tasha's friend, Allanah is housesitting for us which makes going away a lot easier.
The car has had a service and all is well so we are just looking forward to good weather for the drive.
