Busy day

April 16, 2008 - Sydney, Australia

We had an early start as Tasha had to catch the train into Sydney to go to Taronga Zoo where she was meeting up with someone who was going to show her around.  I dropped her at the station then I headed back to Featherdale Wildlife Park to redo the photos I lost yesterday.  I spent a couple of hours wandering around just taking photos which was quite relaxing.

Then I headed off to the softball park to watch Queensland play NSW Country in the 12 o'clock game.  They had another win 11-5 which was good.  Sheri didn't play that game as she was scheduled to play the 7.30 game against NSW.

After the first game finished I headed off into Sydney on the train to meet Tasha at Circular Quay.  I just wanted to take the usual Harbour Bridge and Opera House photos.  I actually walked up the steps of the Opera House this time, which I have never done before.  Once again the weather was overcast and drizzly so the photos never look quite as spectacular as they could.

We caught the express train back and managed to come home and have dinner before we added a few layers of clothing before heading back to the softball park for the game.

It was a great game and was all tied up at 1-1 after four innings.  However NSW strung a couple of good hits together to score 3 runs and Queensland couldn't match it.

Sheri hit a beauty way out to the fence in the bottom of the seventh innings and rang two bases but nobody could bring her home.  She had a brilliant catching game but unfortunately it wasn't enough to get us home.  Never mind we will get them in the next round.

The girls have the early game at 9.30 tomorrow against Victoria and then back up at 2.30 against ACT.

I have about 600 photos to edit so I am going to make a start on them tonight and maybe upload a few in the morning.
