Well, with only five days to go till we take off, it is getting very exciting. I finish work today which will give me four full days to get myself organised at home.
It has been a trying week as poor Ruby (the dog) hasn't been well which was worrying. However after a trip to the vet he reassured us that she just had a mild cough virus and, after some antibiotics as a precaution, she is starting to look a bit better today.
I had my flu vaccination last Friday and didn't feel at all well over the weekend so ended up having Monday at home.
Then to cap it off Sheri and I had a smashed windscreen on the car while driving to Cleveland so I had to organise to get that fixed straight away.
Sheri is coming into the city today and we are going to the bank to get our foreign currency.
The softball game against the Olympic team is tomorrow night but Sheri trained with them last night at QAS Squad training which was a nice surprise.
On Saturday the dogs are heading off to our wonderful doggy sitter, Jane, so that they get settled in over the weekend. It will be strange at home with them gone.
So with the final countdown started we are confident at we are organised and let's hope that we don't have any dramas before Monday.
