After a good nights sleep Sheri and I headed out to Tung Chung to catch the cable car up to the Giant Buddha. Well what a trip that turned out to be. The weather going up in the 25 minute cable car ride got worse the higher into the mountains we got. At one point we couldn't see anything outside the cable car for the engulfing cloud - quite a weird feeling. When we got to the top the Giant Buddha was barely visible. There was a 250 flight of stairs up to the Buddha which we climbed with much puffing. I am certainly feeing the effects today with sore calf muscles.
After our trip back down the mountain Sheri headed for the factory outlet shopping. She managed to find a few clothes and we have planned to go back there on Thursday so that she can look for shoes.
From there it was just a quick train trip to Disneyland where we spent the afternoon and evening. Highlights were the Parade, the Lion King show and the fireworks. We also did lots of shopping there. Disneyland is a magical place.
Today we are heading for Ocean Park to see the pandas. We are having an easier day today and will return home late afternoon as Mary is taking us to the markets tonight and for a trip on the Star Ferry to see the nightly lights show over the harbour.
The weather has been mixed, hot and very humid (95%). When ever a few drops of rain fall a sea of umbrellas appear. We actually enjoyed getting wet as we were so hot.
Have added a few photos and a couple of videos from yesterday.
