We had a spectacular day yesterday on our trip to Loch Ness. The weather was perfect as you will see from the photos (if I ever get them loaded as been experiencing a few problems).
We caught the bus at 8am from the Royal Mile - the coach was full so Toby, Sheri and I sat right on the back seat. Was good for taking photos out of the back window! The bus driver was good telling us all the historical bits and pieces on our way out of Edinburgh. He told us the best places to get good photos which was a big help.
There was some beautiful scenery on the way and so much water. They reckon they are having a dry spell as it hasn't rained for 3 weeks! If it never rained at all they have enough water for 60 years in Scotland - amazing really.
We visited Urquhart Castle and then took the boat trip up Loch Ness towards Inverness - no sign of Nessie the monster though!
From Inverness it was just a 4 hour drive down the motorway back to Edinburgh, over the Forth Road Bridge. We were on the road a bit over 12 hours and covered 360 miles (600 kms).
We grabbed a quick meal at Jimmy Chung's which is like a chinese Sizzler and Sheri enjoyed it so much I think she planning another visit soon. Mum is feeding her up but she is amazed at how much she eats.
Today has been a nice restful, quiet day. Mum went to church which gave Dad and I a good chance for a chat. Sheri and her cousin, Leanne have taken the little one to the shops so I went for a walk through town to take some photos. It is a lovely day but when the sun goes behind a cloud and the wind blows off the sea it is damn cold!
I am using the spare time this afternoon to catch up with the photos and some emails that need answered.

glad to hear you are having a great time. I can't believe how green it is over there.
Yeah and Sheri stop eating will you. Lara was only talking the other day about how the Wildcat girls reckoned you needed Jenny Criag!!! LOL.
