Hi guys hope you are all well, i am currently in Changi Airport, terminal 2 to be precise standing near the sun flower garden abusing free internet. As usual will start from where we left off....
So Saturday night i went out with Charlie, to see this band hes been trying to see, but each time never can, and the same happened again! Before hand however i took the train to Paris from Melun and where Charlie was waiting, scooter helmet in hand, yes thats right, scooter helmet. So i road on the back of his little scooter (dad Gina is bigger and more beautiful but charlie's seats 2) we arrived at the nightclub and i paid my way in which included a free drink (and it should have with how much it was....well with conversion considered). We talked and talked, i realised that apparently red sparkly shoes are a little too weird in France....they dont wear anything outrageous......oh well, i was easy to find. We talked and danced and so on and left somewhere around 130ish, i was exhausted. We got back to his mums place and his brother had some friends over, he set the couch up for me and left me to sleep, and boy did i sleep. I woke up on Sunday at about 1130 and pretty much did nothing, which was nice. Chilled at Charlies place until 4 when i took the train back to Isabelle's were i spent the evening with Laurine and Alisee watching a french christmas movie and eating popcorn. Was great, the girls are gorgeous, 12 and 14 but still gorgeous.
Monday Isabelle took me to a French shopping centre....huge much!We did some browsing i got my last presents and then we had maccas for lunch, which we ordered and paid for on a machine for faster service, so awesome, plus i got to have wedges in the meal not just fries....more awesome! We headed back to isabelles and then Nadia and her husband came over to see me (isabelles aunt, another cousin) we chatted for a bit and then they headed off, we ate and then watched another movie, cant remember which one but another french one and then went to bed.
Tuesday i went to Michele and Micheles hous for lunch (isabelles parents, my dads cousin). We had a nice lunch and it brought back so many memories of our first trip over. Their house hasnt changed a bit, i remembered where most things were, he even still had the sherrif badge we made him, and the guns. Then we went for a walk in the forest, where there was also a exercise course, so the 3 girls did that and then went and did more shopping, at carrefour (big hypermarket). Afterwards we headed back to the michels so i could call the girls for the last time, before heading home.
Wednesday, christmas eve, we went to the markets in Melun, the town where isabelle lives. Looked at all the stalls and bought flowers for isabelle, caught the bus back and then laurine (12) and i made lunch. That afternoon we wrapped presents, and then went for a walk to find more flowers for Patricks (charlies dad) parents. We got ready for dinner and then headed to patricks for christmas celebrations with his family. Laurine and i became the 2 L's and started tormenting Julien (charlies brother) and charlie. We had a beautiful dinner and cheeses and fruit salad. We exchanged presents, i got these aesome slippers from the isa and the girls, a braclet from alisee, a cd of the band we were supposed to see from charlie, and maceroons (i hope thats right too tired to care) from Patrick...oh and chocolates from patricks parents. Got home at about 130 am and went straight to bed, feeling a little homesick but ok.
Thursday, christmas day, we all slept in til very late and did nothing really. Watched another movie with the girls, and then they went to their fathers house. I helped isa set the table for dinner and then everyone came back home. The michels came for dinner along with patrick, we had another late night but was good. Had lots of fun with the girls and was lovely to be with family. Although patrick made me discuss australias apparent racial problems, and politics in FRENCH....gave me a headache and not to mention piss me off a little.
friday i got up and packed my suitcase with my petite L's assistance. Then Nadia came and gave me a present for Dad......and then we left to meet charlie and julien to go ice skating. We walked to the rink, and i didnt fall down once. Helped julien with his english and mucked around with them all. Was a lovely way to spend my last afternoon. We headed back home and chilled, made frozen pizzas and then headed to see Australia. I thought it was great, despite not understanding it all.... got home and went to bed.
Saturday, i got up early and took my last morning and moments in france. Isa and the girls drove me to the airport, we got there with plenty of time, i checked in and had my last pain au chocolat and orangina. Left the girls, cried a little and headed to security...whioch was a nightmare. There were only 2 security doors open for 3-4 flights, we have more in adelaide.....spoke about this with a lovely french couple, who has a daughter who lives in perth....go figure. Got on the plane and was happily surprised to meet Anthony, a 23 yr old Sydney-sider who had just finished 5 weeks in Europe. We had a spare seat in between us, so nice i got to spread out a bit. We talked a lot and i watched movies and such. Was nice, made the long painful flight go quickly. Got here and had burger king for breakfast...wasnt feeling good but the grease did me good. Got my 7 hr hotel room and slept. I have since swam in the pool, sat in a spa, visited the orchid garden, fern garden, seen the Koi being fed, visited the bamboo garden the waterfall and am now contemplating a back and neck massage before a movie at 8. i can go through security for my flight at 2250 (1.20am adelaide time) and will be back home tomorrow morning. Very exhausted, trying to stay awake so i sleep to adelaide. Love to you all, cant wait to see you!
