Prague

September 2, 2007

Exciting news! I have found a further way to extend my eternal summer – going for three years in a row now without a proper winter. Although Autumn has kicked in here with a vengance - showers everyday. Time to fly south!

For those who haven’t heard the whispers on various Jones/Rae/Mudgee/Newy/Intrepid grapevines (which I’m sure is no one by now) I applied to keep leading with Intrepid after my contract finishes here in Europe in November. However I missed the Southern Cross too much and so requested to come back to the sweet side of the equator – and after a few weeks hanging by my thumbs got the job in New Zealand! I am really stoked, imagine leading in one country- no currency/history/language changes every two days – what will I do with myself!

I have four more trips over here besides the Paris to Prague loop that I’m on now, a week of beach time in Croatia and a final swoop around from Paris up north, through Prague and south to Venice, then will be heading straight to Kiwiville to start there on the 20th October.

I am a little nostalgic, but at least I get to go back to Paris, Krakow, Venice, Bled, Budapest and of course Prague once more to say goodbye. Prague will be especially hard after two years of calling here my European home.

So only a few more installments from the cacky side of the world, then south to enjoy showing my northern passengers the way water goes down the toilet in the correct direction and warning of those dangerous Aussie drop-bears... ;)

Hope to see all of you in the land of the long white cloud.

Hey Lauren! Congratulations on getting the NZ job. Your parcel came today. Thank you for the maps. You know they will be put to good use! We are down to single figures now... only 9 sleeps to go. Can't wait to see that rugby game at Millenium Stadium. Cheers and enjoy the rest of your time in Europe.
