Back again!! So here I am in Malaga with only 4 nights to go on my own before meeting up with my sister. I just spend 4 amazing days in Sevilla and had an amazing time there. The first day when I got in I just took it easy and enjoyed the hammocks on the rooftop where I met some Aussies and Dutchies. After having made some friends we decided to go and find ourselves a place to go for drinks. As we were hunting around town for some good pubs we ended up running into a marching band that was walking the streets at 10 at night. Apparantly it was a public holiday that ended up being celebrated. After a long hunt we found ourselves a place that serves Sangria and enjoyed a patio out in the streets. The place we had picked ended up looking like a scene out of the fast and the furious as in this square a whole bunch of cars kept pulling up , opening their trunks and starting to drink in the square. Then midnight came along and they all drove off together. It was sooo strange!
The next day I got up nice and early and after having breakfast I headed out. I decided to go wander the streets of Sevilla for the day by myself which ended up being gorgeous. I started out by going past the river valley and venturing into Triana - the place where Sarah stayed for her semester abroad. Then afterwards I went through most of the tourist sites around, the bullring, alcazar, the cathedral and the famous parks. It was absolutely breathtaking. Sevilla is such a relaxing town that does not have the busyness of the cities so far. The weather was amazing again as well and I have not seen a day under 25 degrees in the last little while!
On the second full day in Sevilla I decided to go and read my book along the river. I headed out early again and found myself a wonderfull spot along the riverbank along with some fishermen!! They seemed to be everywhere along the river. After I had been reading for a while a Spanish guy came and talked to me and after a long conversation of speaking broken english he invited me to join him fishing. I ended up going for a bit since it was right along the riverbank and it was quite the entertainment. He was really nice and it made me love the Spanish culture even more then I did already.
That night I got back to the hostel and met up with my Aussie roommates, we went grocery shopping and ended up coming back with 8 litres of wine. We ended up making cheap man`s wine which is lemonade added into the wine. This brought a very fun night on the rooftop and some Americans and Canadians joined into the fun as well when they saw all the wine we had. Wine was definately the cheapest I have seen here yet. We bought a litre and a half of wine for 95 cents and it wasnt even horrible!
The next morning I got up nice and early again to catch my train. After quietly packing (as to not waking up all the hungover people in my 9person room) I headed out. At the bus station I met this incredibly nice Australian girl who looked pretty lost. I helped her out since she had to go to the trainstation as well and showed her where to go. Its so nice that all the backpackers tend to stick together.
After a gorgeous trainride out to Malaga I found out really fast how many Dutch people holiday here!! Its practically the Mexico for Holland! I decided to go lay on the beach for a couple of hours and had a great relaxing day so far. The hostel I am staying at is gorgeous and the neighborhood is as well. There is a bar inside the hostel and at midnight they walk the group to a club together, so that should be fun. Anyways I am off to wash the sand out of my hair in this amazing bathroom (no jokes, its massive and gorgeous) Ill take a picture since I finally got to recharge my batteries. I did not have an adapter so I had to wait till I ran into someone that did, and yay I found one. So anyways Im off.. Hope all is well.. xx
