Chilly in Chile
March 7, 2010 - Buenos Aires, Argentina
Well this is the last entry written from both of us, but we certainly saved the best for last. The last week has been extraordinary. We went to Chile to explore the majestic glaciers and Patagonian mountains of the Southern Andes. We trekked for 4 days, 3 nights with some friends from the Machu Picchu, walking a total of 75km and 30hours in just 4 days (28km and 22km on the last two days alone!). Needless to say that our legs are enjoying a break right now back in our second home of Buenos...

Wineries and Glaciers
February 28, 2010 - El Calafate, Argentina
Hey crew, Just a quick one this time because we have a nice bottle of Torrentes and some home-made chocolates waiting for us. We’ve just put up another bunch of photos (in the ‘Outback Northwest Argentina’ album) from our cycling around the wineries adventures (aka getting slowly pickled on the back of a tandem bike). El Chaltén (Christmas!)
December 28, 2009 - El Chaltén, Argentina
El Chaltén is a tiny town at the base of the spectacular Fitz Roy Mountain Range.  It´s famous amongst rock climbers but the hiking is also fantastic.  The peaks (torres) of the Fitz Roy are frequently hidden by low cloud giving it the nickname the smoking mountain.  Christmas Eve was incredibly windy but sunny so I hiked up to Laguna del los Tres.  After a couple of hours, I reached the Poincenot hut at the base of the last hour climb.  I could hear Sam from the hut....
