You never forget your first stalker
August 30, 2011 - Puerto Iguazú, Argentina
 1. Where the devil have I been? After the epic bus ride back to Rio from Itacaré, we didn't hang around long & instead hopped straight on the Party bus...I mean Paraty bus...the bus to a place called Paraty. Disappointing weather and expensive EVERYTHING meant we didn't spend as much time there as we originally expected. But whilst in the town we did manage to gatecrash a cachaça (Brazilian spirit used to make caipirinhas) festival, slide down a waterfall in our pants and find out the...

Puerto Iguazu and the Iguazu Falls
June 28, 2010 - Puerto Iguazú, Argentina
A 24 hour bus ride is a long time to be sitting in the same seat for. Fortunately, we had quite comfy spacious seats at the front of the bus. Comfy seats aside though, the bus cost a fortune (so much so that we looked up getting flights to Iguazu) and we had a number of cockroach visits much to Jen´s disgust. We semi slept and arrived in Puerto Iguazu, the town that feeds tourists into the waterfall park, at around 8am. We quickly got snapped up by a loitering hostel tout and settled into...

Iguazu Falls, Argintina side
June 29, 2009 - Puerto Iguazú, Argentina
29 june, 2009 Today we decided to go over to a town on the Argintina side of the falls. Going through the borders was easy enough and when we arrived Tanya looked after the bags while Murray ran around getting prices for hostels. For the bargain rate of US $15 per night we ended up in a very chilled place with a pool and outdoor tv area - not that we can watch much seeing that everything is in spanish. After that we walked straight to the supermarket to buy some beef (Argentina is really...

Vertrek uit Colombia en opweg naar Argentinie
April 8, 2009 - Puerto Iguazú, Argentina
Lieve allemaal!

Falling for the falls
June 8, 2008 - Puerto Iguazú, Argentina
Mother Nature got it right when she created the Iguazú Falls. They are simply breath-taking in their beauty and power. Low-lying rivers appear to be meandering effortlessly until they fill out into a delta that fuels the mighty falls. San Martin and Garganta del Diablo (Devil´s throat) waterfalls are worth the 18-hour bus ride from Buenos Aires. Thousands of colourful butterflies flit around you as you walk over the sturdy metal bridges to reach the Garganta del Diablo, creating a sense of...
