Hello everyone, We've had a great time since the last time we wrote. On Saturday we went for a 2 day/ 1 night all included tour on Fraser Island. WOW!! Anyhow, it's been a while and I apologize for that. My connection with the rest of civilization has been limited at best at certain points along my trip in Australia. I'm currently sitting within my hostel in the town of 1770. The town is named such to honor the fact that it was the second place in Australia to be...

1770
December 15, 2008 - 1770, Australia
Northern coastal Queensland is littered with beautiful beaches all with georgous white sand and crysel clear water. They are all deserted and the reason for this is, one the Aussies as a rule try to keep out of the sun (one in 3 is destined to get skin cancer), and two the bloody jelly fish! From November to May it isn't safe to swim in the waters without one of those fabulous stinger suits we mentioned before. So we head south to 1770 as it is one of the northern most beaches where...
