Geraldton, Perth, Denmark & Esperance
October 19, 2013 - Perth, Australia
Gosh we have been remiss in writing the blog. Well we spent five nights in Geraldton, what a lovely seaside town. Spent time looking around the town which has quite a bit of history and a very big port. We did a day trip out from the town to look at the wildflowers, not that we saw a heap. A very nice respite. Then on to Perth where we reconnected with our friend Rhonda and spent an evening with her friends before we left for a short trip to the south west. With the van left at the...

As I was getting ready this morning, I heard the distint sound of hoofbeats on the road, so I dashed to the window, just in time to see the mounted police plodding down the road. Reception tells me they take the horses to one of the parks to warm up before starting work (really?). Cute. Lovly morning (by English standards!) so I caught the Tube to Embankment and then the Ferry to Tower Hill. Lovely little cruise with the sun almost poking its head out from the clouds on occassion. First bash at this blog thing. Using the phone is pretty easy but hope to use something bigger for longer entries. Had lunch with Mum before heading to the airport. She insisted on taking a photo every time we stopped. Thank goodness for digital! Kicking back in the Business Lounge - help youself to everything with free wi-fi. Woo hoo. More soon Well that's bloody funny. Once I posted the last entry I had a wander around and guess what I found. Lovely new Mac's just around the...

Hey there everyone, about time I updated where we are at in our travels around this big beautiful country! After spending a few days tasting wine, cheese, chocolate, venison, ice cream and lots more in Margaret River we headed up to Busselton. We decided to splurge and stay at a nice Big 4 with a water park, pool and jumping pillow for the boys! We walked the historic Busselton Jetty (Australia's longest at 1.8kms), drove out to Dunsborough and saw some beautiful beaches at Yallingup and...

Another long overdue entry we know!! From Sydney we headed to Kiama where the main attraction is the fantastic blow holes which are right near the center of town. The kids shrieked with excitement everytime they blew (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oz5yn_sVv6o). The fish and chips at this sea side town were pretty good also! From Kiama we headed to Batemans Bay where we found another great caravan park on the river and had fantastic views. The kids had a great time collecting shells along the...
