Again we only had two full days in Innsbruck but they were full of the things we love most: gorgeous countryside, fun outdoor activities and lots of laughs. On the day we arrived we caught the tail end of a region-wide festival celebrating Tirol and its distinctive character. Salzburg :) 18-19 Sept.

We were only two full days in Salzburg but I still found it a relaxing, lovely city. It struck me as being very 'white' in colour as the buildings were clean and there were many trees in the city. It had bits of typical alpine architecture as our hotel and many other buildings had tumbling geraniums from windown boxes and sweet cutouts in the wooden shutters.
