San Jose...on to Panama!

 From the cloudforest of Monetverde, I made my way first to Fortuna and then to Jaco. The first town lies next to the volcano "Arenal" which remains active. Walking through the forest hearing a thunderous roar, I managed to avoid the burning lava and take a few snaps of the explosion. I’m so excited!  Erich and I got to do our very first excursion today!  We finally were able to get off the ship in Puntarenas, Costa Rica, which is on the west coast of Costa Rica.  We were about two hours away from San Jose, according to the guide.  I was so grateful to have gotten a tour for a few reasons: 1.)     There was a crew drill that day, so we were excused and didn’t have to attend! 2.)    The tours will provide us with maximum exposure to the ports without paying a...

After the wedding day we spent another 2 days in luxury at the hotel Villa Caletas. We made the best out of our stay there by taking part at all the free stuff such as yoga and handicrafts and spent a whole afternoon in the jacuzzi on our balcony. It was so relaxing that for a moment we completely forgot what normal daily life can be like.
