4. Cairo, Aswan & Luxor - Egypt
August 14, 2010 - Luxor, Egypt
We touched down into Cairo on the 2nd August after a busy fortnight in Jordan.  The first thing we noticed about Egypt is how crazy the Egyptians are when they get behind the wheel of a vehicle.  Cars, buses, lorries and motorbikes all weave from lane to lane overtaking each other and cutting each other up with only centimetres to spare.  It was certainly a tense drive into downtown Cairo for us as our driver casually weaved through the traffic whilst talking on his mobile!  Another thing...

November 2, 2009 - Luxor, Egypt
Unbelievably today is our last full day in Egypt before we fly to Jordan tomorrow evening. We arrived in Luxor yesterday lunchtime after travelling up the Nile from Aswan on a felucca from Luxor. Most entertaining was a truck containing a row of three kneeling camels, who serenely surveyed their surroundings, slowly turning their heads from left to right in perfect unison, seemingly quite convinced they were entirely in control of the...
