March 15, 2010 - Avignon, France
Hi all and greetings from Avignon, Saturday was spent doing domestic chore's, after spending a week training and with only a backpacks worth of wearable garments, I desperately needed to do some washing. This was an experience in it's self, I found the laundromat and yep, all the instructions are in French (oh shit... never mind whats the worse that can happen?) clothes in front, so good so far, detergent, Mmmmm three holes? Nonetheless, the state of the train and the speed it travelled made it the unanimous choice for the 'Train Ride I'd Rather Not Do...Let Alone Twice' award....

Paris! (apprx 1/2 way)
December 17, 2009 - Paris, France
Paris was what I had been waiting for ... expectations aplenty! I also have many family relatives in Paris I had not yet met so it was going to be an intense experience. We had 7 whole days in an apartment in the Latin Quarter. There was a Nepalese restaurant and a velo (automated bike hire) station right at our doorstep and two boulangeries and metro stations - two of each at each end of the small street we were on: so we were set! The apartment was almost just around the corner from Rue...
