No Wifi No Lift

The hotel's wifi has stopped working along with their lift so blog entries will have to wait. I am off to deal with 5 flights of stairs! At least this will cut down my fagging :-)

Historic Paris

First sunny day in Paris and I'm sick :-( Managed a 4 hour walk to Notre Dame, - amazing doesn't describe it and Saint Chapelle - ground floor not so much. Upper floor - OMG. Visited a few other places but by the end of that my whole body was aching and I was shivering despite the lovely sunshine. Off to bed now (at 1pm in the aternoon). Since the boats aren't running I booked a bus tour to see Paris at Night so anything I've missed will be covered on that (at least from the outside)...

Monet's Garden

Woke up tired this morning and as I was stumpling to turn my alarm off, found out my feet were really sore. Not a good start. Found my way to St Laraz and took the train to Vernon and then a bus to Giverny. Unfortunately, I was rather underwhelmed by the garden. Not sure if thats because I was so tired, the 50,000 people crowded around me (at 9am!) or the lack of real flowers in the garden. Paris - Day 2

So I was up at 4.30am this morning, bright eyed and bushy tailed so I went down and annoyed Reception for the new WiFi password so I could plan my day. Had planned to leave here by 7.30am to beat the ques at The Lourve but the people I bought my SIM card from decided we should spend 45 minutes trying to resolve the problem (can't get mobile connection is rather flaky) without any luck but I'm very pleased they payed for the call! Paris - Day 1

So by the time we landed I was busting for a fag. Found a cleaner that understood my French and took me down to the smoking room. Unfortunately niether of us had a lighter so it was all just a tease! Managed to catch the bus from the airport to Opera without any problems and had a pleasant chat with a gent from Adelaide Wandered around abit watching peak hour in Paris before finding the Metro.
