Sunday
May 4, 2008 - Delhi, India
Jo ventured to the church this morning with Abbie. It was a modern service held at the British Embassy School and we enjoyed it. Pragya, Jo, Amrit and Abbie went for lunch in Pizza Hut (how common) and then went window shopping in a big mall. It was just like being in England (: The weather was quite unsettled today - it's been overcast all day...

After school, we had a very long lunch in our favourite little cafe, then went music and book shopping. This evening we had a cookery lesson with the other Gappers. We watched our homestay host cook yellow daal, okra, and pillau...

Day 17 & 18
April 28, 2008 - Delhi, India
We had a well deserved lie-in yesterday morning, before visiting a slum area of Delhi to help vaccinate children under 5 against Polio. It was physically and mentally draining due to the heat and the immense poverty that we experienced. On the other hand, we went to MacDonalds for lunch...it was the nicest McMeal Pragya has ever tasted, so...
