Jeeee! ik ben dinsdag samen met Casper en Chau in Milaan! Als eerste zijn we naar mijn kamer gegaan. Deze is heeel erg mooi. Sommige mensen weten misschien hoe groot mijn kamer in nijmegen is, nie zo heel groot nie. Mijn kamer in Milaan is echt heel groot! Hoezee! Er staat een mooi twee persoons bed in en wat kasten enzo. De kamer is nog een beetje leeg omdat 15 kilo niet erg veel ruimte inneemt. Maar als het goed is krijg ik nog een hello kitty poster om de muren wat op te vullen. We hebben...

Venice: 21 - 24 October

We took the train from Riomaggiore (Cinque Terre) to Venice, with a brief stopover in Pisa to see the famous leaning tower. (The leaning tower was actually very spectacular - much larger and prettier than either of us had realised and we were very glad that we'd decided to make the minor diversion to see it). Cinque Terre (Italy): 18 - 21st October

The Cinque Terre was great! It consists of five small, coastal villages on the Southern front of North-Western Italy (ie. the front flap at the top of Italy's boot) that are only accessible by foot - along a spectacular, winding, cliff-top coastal walk. The walk is fantastic, the villages are spectacular (perched on top of rocky outcrops or sprawling down a narrow valley down to the ocean) and the food was amongst the best we ate in Italy. Mamma Mia, it's-a Roma!

We arrived in Rome at a reasonable hour and left ourselves plenty of time to get to our B&B- the nicest place we were staying during our trip and a little treat right down the road from the Colosseum. Having gotten intructions earlier from the internet so as to avoid getting lost, Maria whipped out her iPhone and the instructions and tried to make sense of it all! Pisa, Florence and outlet shopping

Sad at having to leave Venice we went to the train station to get our tickets to Pisa. Over we walked to the ticket machine and tried to buy a ticket to Pisa. No tickets to Pisa. What the hell. So Maria lined up and asked for "due biglietti a Pisa, per favore". This was at 11:37am. Tickets in hand we thought we had an hour. Lauren walks off to go shopping, Maria looks at the tickets.
