9:10pm; Oh my gosh, in one week and one day mom and Jenae will be here, in my room with me! AHHHHHHHH! I’m so excited. Six months on the road, and we're still alive and kicking! :) Still exhausted from exploring Rome, we dragged the poor kids out of bed even earlier the following day, to catch a 6 am train for a day trip to Pompeii! So it was off to Pompeii today, which I had totally forgotten was part of the tour so that was cool! We had a guided tour around a part of the city which was fascinating! Its amazing how the volcano ash had preserved the city so well! It was in so much better condition that the ruins we saw in Rome….you could actually tell what some of the buildings were, take out food places, bakeries and even a brothel!
