Silver-paved city in the clouds

Taxco is known as Mexico´s silver capital. There are more than 100 jewellery shops, and Jo and I did our best to see them all. Okay, we selected a few good ones, but we window-shopped a lot more! Set high in the mountains about 90 minutes from Cuernavaca, the beautiful city with a population of about 100,000 people has a wonderful atmosphere....

City of the eternal spring

Cuernavaca is a lovely town with about 600,000 people during the week, increasing to about a million on the weekend. It´s known as the city of the eternal spring, because the climate is always about 28 degrees celsius. The Mexican family that Jo and I are staying with have made us feel very welcome. The two girls, aged 8 and 12, are great fun...

Abominable airlines

Jo and I have renamed American Airlines after our first plane in San Francisco was broken so we had to change to a larger plane, which left nearly an hour later and coincidently we missed our connecting flight from Dallas to Mexico City. Once can be understood, but our plane from Dallas was delayed for several hours due to technical problems,...
