My first day in the Czech Republic was a success! So we went out last night to have some fun and get to know everyone. We traveled around from pub to pub and found out very quickly that we need to brush up on our Czech pivo ordering skills. Most of us just point at a menu and take what they give us. My arrival to the motherland!!

Well as many of you have read I had my departure yesterday. I arrived in Omaha around 10am and we boarded the plane a little before our planned noon departure. This is when the first problem arrived. Our flight from Omaha to Minneapolis had weight distribution problems so they took some of the smaller checked baggage from below the plane and put them in the overhead compartments. When this "brilliant" plan didn't work they resorted to unloading all the domestic flight checked luggage....

Beste fans ;) Inmiddels zoals het onderwerp doet vermoeden weer terug in Nederland, maar ppfff.. wat hebben jullie moeten doorstaan de afgelopen twee weken zeg!! Het weer is gewoon nog steeds net zo naar als toen ik wegging! In de tussentijd ben ik braaf getint en heb een hele charmante brandplek ontwikkeld waardoor ik voorlopig even geen laag decolleté shirtjes meer aan kan! It took 21 hours but we made it to Amsterdam!

Five airports, four planes, three trains within 21 hours of travel...it has been a marathon. But, we were not about to let lack of sleep stop us from a walking tour of downtown Amsterdam. What is memorable about Amsterdam, at least seeing it through bleary, jet lagged eyes? Bicycles top the list for sure...there are thousdands of them, everywhere. We also stumbled across something called the "Red Light District"...hmmm...they don't mean traffic lights. The windows in the "Red Light Distric"...

Oohh saucy title! We arrived in Netherlands/Holland/Dutchland about a week ago. The sun was splitting the trees so we camped in a great site with a pool. The place was quite quiet and we got the pool to ourselves most of the time! As the heatwave strengthened we done less and less, finally just giving up and spending 3 days lounging and tanning!
