Christchurch and farewell to New Zealand

After a long drive we arrived in Christchurch at midday no problems. Wecleaned the camper van up and packed all our stuff in our backpacks beforefinding a hostel to leave our stuff in. We then headed for the Escape office (vanrental people) to drop the van back. When we arrived there was not a sole insite and after banging on the reception door...

So the land of the long white cloud… not so cloudy when we got here though. Lovely weather, and a lovely city – Wellington. Strikes us both as very British, clean, and a nice atmosphere. Amazing hostel in comparison to all others we’ve stayed in, again very clean, good facilities etc. Wellington has the most amazing pub with micro-brewery...

Queenstown is situated by a lake and the supposed capital of extreme sports and water sports in New Zealand. Wanaka was very similar to Queenstown but on a smaller scale.
