Long live Queenie
August 9, 2013 - Queenstown, New Zealand
I stayed a whole week in Queenstown because it was awesome and I didn't want to ever leave. Ever. The night we arrived was a big one, as we went on the bar crawl the bus had arranged for us. The town is taken over by Australian skiers and snow boarders at the moment, who come out on the beer after a long day on the slopes (and often don't make it up again the next day). So everyone is in holiday mode and it's just really, really cool. We kept bumping into the same people on nights out...

Kia Ora! Wow sorry I have not written in this for a while!! I have just been so busy and have hardly had any down time to go on the internet for long periods of time. So yeah We left Melbourne on the 31st of March after an amazing time there. I ended up cleaning the kitchens of the hostel which gave me free accomodation which was handy and let me save up some money. Had to tell my boss at that glorious burger place that I was leaving and I honestly thought he was going to start crying on...

Impressions of New Zealand
February 27, 2012 - Queenstown, New Zealand
New Zealand is a long way from home. A very long way from home. It takes over 24 hours of solid plane journey to get there and the time difference is 13 hours (with daylight savings time - I still don't really understand how it works). Sometimes I find it hard to believe that it is possible to travel for so long and still be in the same planet! And yet, when you finally arrive, it's all incredibly easy. Everything is in English, you drive on the left, buses seem to always run to time and the...

Von Haast nach Queenstown
February 18, 2011 - Queenstown, New Zealand
Vom jeweiligen...

Bimbling in Queenstown
February 11, 2011 - Queenstown, New Zealand
11th feb. Queenstown I wake breifly as my room mate gets up and ready for her day of adrenaline fuelled adventure. A little sorry not to be going too, but also very glad of the ability to stay in bed and chill out. I rise at 10 as I have a date with skype :) and enjoy a long chat, cathcing up on all the news from overseas before sorting myself out, getting dressed and heading for some food. I am still very tired despite the long lie and early night, but then my glands are up again, my...
