Cha-cha-cha-Chili's
March 12, 2008 - Lima, Peru
After getting back from the trip we had only a night to relax before orientation/enrollment the next morning (March 11th). It was pretty hectic with all international students speaking in Spanish and other languages as we were shuffled into room after room. After sorting out the schedule and speaking to an Embassy doctor, who confirmed I should have five I had the jab. We paid up, got the receipts for...

Pisco Sours, Ceviche & Maracuya
March 5, 2008 - Lima, Peru
Monday night in Barranco we went to this enormous bar called La Noche for free live jazz. We also tried our first Pisco Sours, which is a Peruvian beverage made with pisco (a white grape brandy), sour mix, sugar?, and egg whites topped off with bitters. It’s frothy on the top (mmm mmm good, gotta love that raw egg froth) but otherwise tastes...
