June 6, 2013 - Sevilleja de la Jara, Spain
Out of the hotel around 8am and wandered down to the train station to get tickets to Jerez. Lady couldn't speak English but with Google translate we got there.   Walked back through town to meet up with a Panchos Walking Tour through the city. Young guy from Columbia who spoke very good English took us through all the sites and explained a bit about the history of Seville. Basically, the king sent Columbus off to find America because he was having and affair with the Queen. He figured...

June 4, 2013 - Sevilleja de la Jara, Spain
So my last morning in France. Wow. It has been a blast (except for the wind!) and I hope to come back soon. There is still so much to see in Paris and I'm sure Provence has more to reveal. El Escorial, Cordoba, and Granada
October 20, 2012 - Granada, Spain
The weekend after I went to Morocco I stayed in Madrid and did a day trip with my class to El Escorial.  This is where the crypt is for all of the past Kings and Queens of Spain.  The building on the outside doesn’t appear too grand, but it is huge, with four huge court yards with in it, as well as an incredible church.  The only downside was that I wasn’t allowed to take pictures inside, even though I did sneak a few!  The art collections of the Spanish Royals were also on display...
