1850km......... DONE....... All done
September 6, 2009 - Santiago de Compostela, Spain
Well I've done it, 1850km & 33 days later & I have finished the cycle part of my trip, the experience has been amazing but really glad that the cycling is over with, well at least the long distance cycling still using my bike for general getting around.   Now its time for new adventures & chalenges, Im waiting for my traiin to visit my grand father for a few days rest & then to Becelona which I'm thinking is going to be a nice challenge & something totally different, still very unsure about...

and now for something completely different
October 13, 2008 - Santiago de Compostela, Spain
I attract weird people.  I don't know if it has something to do with my personality, my appearance, or some mysterious chemical process, but I do know that I've met a lot of weird people in my 21 (almost 22) years. Changi Airport
October 7, 2008 - Santiago de Compostela, Spain
A very brief entry from Changi airport (in transit for 4 or 5 hours). Am very tired since there was little sleep as I was in a middle seat and the man on one side of me, who had no difficulty sleeping, rather overflowed his seat, his snoring resembling that of the Spanish cyclists on the Camino! Sue and Pauline - wonderful to find comments from you already!!! I read your website and was VERY impressed - both with the content and the presentation (I'll put the address when I'm back in...

"While the faithful people of every tradition go on their pilgrimage with devotion and intense fervour, the saintly ones know that unless God is to be found within their own experience, such pilgrimage is useless." (Bro Ramon, Franciscan monk) Back to planning, marking, yard duties, staff meetings, drawing of water and tilling of soil! One more short story - more to come later - returning from Iona on the Caledonian Sleeper, I shared the berth with another woman of my age. Again, a lesson...

I'm developing a distaste for velour
October 5, 2008 - Santiago de Compostela, Spain
The other day, someone asked me if the decreasing frequency of my blog entries correlates with an increasing fun level.  I had to say no--as much as my fun level is increasing despite intensifying Sally-related drama in my neck of the woods, I really do intend to keep this blog updated several times a week.  This week, however, was an exception due to a) thinking I had to read for my seminar and furiously skimming Spanish readings only to find out that only one other person in the class had...
