Krabi Province and more beach lazing.

Spent the last few days in Krabi. one night in Krabi town then a fewmore on the beaches that surround it. It is not an island as I at firstthought but is set along a peninsula with mangrove estuaries scatteredamongst the beaches. Was picked up from the ferry by a very zealoustaxi driver who as well as charging me for the ride into Krabi Town...

The guidebook said you would cry tears of joy on first seeing Ko Phi Phi for it's natural beauty but then you would then cry over the cost of staying there. All true. Bangkok is so humid and hot at the moment, i couldn't wait to get out of there. I booked the last seat (apparently) on a sleeper train to Surat Thani, which is a drop off point for boats and buses to the west coast of Thailand. The train took 13 hours, though most of the trip was spent at a stand strill waiting for other trains to pass...
