Homeward Bound - after the trip of a lifetime!
May 15, 2012 - Bangkok, Thailand
So, after 4 countries, 3 months and only 1 broken foot, my travels have finally come to an end. I can’t believe that it is over, this trip which I have been planning for so so long and excited about for even longer. I have been vaguely planning to go to Australia since being in 1st year at uni and it was at the start of my 2nd year that I first picked up the brochure for Far and Ride and decided that I wanted to go and ride through New Zealand. Secondly Bangkok and Melbourne, where I started my Aussie adventures could not be more...

Field Trip
February 29, 2012 - Bangkok, Thailand
Today we had a half day of training and then took a field trip to the Thailand National Institute of Health.  Two busses picked us up and we navigated Bangkok traffic for about 45 minutes to make our way to the lab.  The good thing about the ride was that we got to see more of the city.  We even went past the US Embassy. When we got to the Thai NIH we had some lectures on what they do, and we even had a BSL3 lab Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) demonstration.  This was my favorite...
