Where Are The Japs?
December 8, 2013 - Kanchanaburi, Thailand
As it's just me (Vince), the blogs will sound a little less like Karl Pilkington (aka Sarah!). I have been in Thailand now for 5 days - Bangkok is a typical Asian large city - busy and hot. And surprisingly clean. I have only visited one tourist sight - Wat Pho temple complex - as the sheer numbers of Chinese, Japanese, Russian and others is just too annoying. How many bloody photos do people need to take?! I have now come 3 hours on the train to Kanchanaburi. It is where the death railway...

From Bali to Barmy and Back to Sangkhlaburi
July 22, 2011 - Kanchanaburi, Thailand
Em and I loved Singapore. My particular highlights were the Indian sweets, the abundance of soya-based goods, Beer Fest (quenching my thirst for festivals this year), the art museum and the super tacky but pristine resort island Sentosa; for its fabulous luge. We weren't so fond of the higher prices. December 3, 2009 - Kanchanaburi, Thailand
3.12.09 Today we had an amazing day.  We spent a better part of it trying to work out how to get to a national park called Erawan National Park where there are these famous waterfalls.   We were initially thought about taking the bus, but decided against it, as we wouldn’t get to spend much time at the park, before we had to catch the last bus home. We had seen lots of advertisements around advertising scooter hire.  These scooters are 110cc I think and come in Automatic or...

Kanchanburi and Bangkok Take 2
September 9, 2009 - Kanchanaburi, Thailand
A sudden rise in internet usage costs and the frenetic pace of life in Japan has meant that once again I am behind on the blog. In addition, hygiene standards have kept me up and on the move, with little time spent actually in the hostels. The Kanchanaburi pictures have been up for ages, but alas, no journal entry has been made in weeks. I'll try to rectify the situation now, but I will have to be quick, because my money will run out in 20 minutes and the people waiting for the computer will...
