Krabi and Rai Leh Beach

well we finally got ourselves out of our hammocks and off Ko Phangan. we really really exjoyed relaxing and chilling out there, so we went in off in search of somewhere else to chill out. Made the long journey to Krabi and stayed there for the night in a nice place. then we went to Ao Nang which was jam packed full of tourists - looked like benidorm - so we hot footed (well longtail boated) it outta there to Rai leh beach. it's a nice beach, beautiful scenery but mega expensive,...

Thailand phi phi & koh jum

13 november: We're @ phi phi paradise. First days here we got up at 6 in the morning (BAH!) to go get our open-water-diving-certificate (whiiii), swimming among hundreds of fishes, we saw an octopus, nemo and some sharks. Cewl! On my birthday (gecombineerd met de 11e vd 11e) we (finally!) went out for drinking, having party on the beach. Miste thuis om mee te proosten. Warm zand tussen de tenen, goede beats, gezellige sfeer en gratis drank maar waar zijn de bosschenaren? Zucht. Tomorrow...

Krabi & Ko Phi Phi

After another marathon 24 hours of travel, we're in Thailand! We left Cameron Highlands at 6pm to take a local bus to Ipoh. This bus ride was remarkable for several reasons: first, the driver seemed to have a death wish. We have seen some pretty crazy driving on this trip, but this was in a different league entirely. Even Jeremy was terrified! The worst incident was coming down a steep hill at over 100km/h, and crossing the double white lines to pass a car and an 18-wheeler on a completely...

Touching the void
February 20, 2009 - Krabi, Thailand
After leaving Ko Phi Phi we moved on to Krabi (not as hideous as its' name!) for a quick overnight stop before getting a longtail boat to Railay. Although Railay isn't officially an island it effectively is because the peninsula is cut off from the mainland, and like Ko Phi Phi there's no traffic. We found some great accomodation on the Ton Sai beach side of the 'island'. Our home for the next 4 nights was a bamboo hut on stilts in the middle of the jungle about 10mins walk from the beach....
