I WOKE UP 10 MINUTES LATE THIS MORNING, NOT BAD FOR ME, BUT DIDNTDIDN'T LEAVE THE HOUSE UNTIL 8:35 TO GET FROM MAIDA VALE TO VICTORIA BUS STATION WHICH INVOLVES 2 TRAINS AND A 15 MINUTE WALK. I MADE IT TO VICTORIA TRAIN STATION WITH 7 MINUTES TO GO AND RESORTED TO A £3 cAB FARE AND MADE IT TO THE BUS STATION JUST IN TIME. After leaving our travel plans for Scotland to the last minute, we finally decided the most effective (and cheapest) way to get to Edinburgh was to travel by coach overnight. Weather: Freaking Cold. Without the Gulf Stream, we would have the weather of Siberia, apparently. Wow, look at what pictures it chose for the preview. I think it picked the absolute worst ones on purpose. Um, actually look through them. Right, so last week I went to Edinburgh with a friend from the mediaeval nerd club, Ben. For any readers out there: This is a delayed entry: currently it is about end of week 6 into our trip and we`re in Switzerland but this entry was one I had typed up a while ago (at approx. end of week 4). We travelled over 65,000 miles on 35 flights, countless hours on buses, boats, campervans and our feet. We visited 14 different countries on 3 continents. We took thousands of photographs (possibly deleted just as many). We saw glaciers, deserts, oceans, mountains and great expanses of nothing. We ate guinea pig, piranha and llama but drew the line at insects. We've been so hot we couldn't move and so cold we couldn't sleep, met some amazing people we hope we'll keep in touch...
