Summer Update - the countdown begins!

Things are slowly starting to come together, only 10 weeks to go!  I've had my first set of vaccinations just a few more to get.  Hopefully Richard will get his in the next week or so.  We have finally booked a couple of trips, one in China and one in Vietnam and Cambodia.  Our travel insurance is also sorted plus a Bangkok to Hanoi flight...

Our Trip to the Highlands

We had a spectacular day yesterday on our trip to Loch Ness.  The weather was perfect as you will see from the photos (if I ever get them loaded as been experiencing a few problems). We caught the bus at 8am from the Royal Mile - the coach was full so Toby, Sheri and I sat right on the back seat.  Was good for taking photos out of the back...

Sightseeing in Edinburgh and East Lothian

We took the bus into Edinburgh for a look around yesterday and had a walk through Princes Street Gardens where there is a great view of the castle.  Then we walked to Toby's work in time to join him for lunch.  In the afternoon we had a look at the shops and then took an open top bus tour of the city sights for an hour. A Resting Day

Yesterday we had a restful day.  Sheri had a sleep in and although I was up early we just sat around and chatted.  It was a rainy day but not enough to keep up from walking into town and having lunch.  We visited my niece for a while and then walked along to my brother's flat to see his pet parrot. Family Reunion
