still much to do to get ready

Leaving tmw - too many things still to do before I can leave tmw morning. Therefore, and despite getting to bed very late last night,  I had a leisurely morning with Donna & Ware Joggers, during which we ran (jogged) a very slow 2hrs 15min 13 miles. Quite pleased 'cos I haven't really been doing any running and this felt ok. After this we had tea and cakes - Barbara (60) and Lisa (40) had big birthdays so home made cakes were on offer - very nice and a great start to my cycling effort....

5hr 28m direct journey . . .  but I've got to cycle to padington first - will need to research distance and best route. Definitely must allow time for puncture(s). There'll be a ride the other end to get to Lands End. Suspect it will be getting dark when the train arrives - will book one of the many hotel/B&B's in Penzance, probably before I leave home. Managed to get (t)rusty Volvol M.o.T.'d and road taxed today - yep, on a Saturday! Aparently the post offices that sell lottery...

pfaffing around getting ready to go

I am an excellent pfaffer. I have discovered today (hoped to leave tmw (Saturday) or Sunday,  ...   well, maybe Monday 15th then - anyway my electronic calendar reminded me that my car needs an M.o.T. and it needs it before I can get my tax and I will be away for 2-3 weeks and then the car will no longer be legal on the public highways.
