We hit Texas late Saturday afternoon...at the Welcome Center, a sign was posted warning about rattlesnakes in high grass. Yipes, we avoided ANY grass after seeing that, but the welcome center was really nice with a great view. Stayed at the Fort Amarillo RV Resort...a good spot. Sadly, Lily's hula hoop got crunched when we put the slide out on...

Goeiemorgen ! Ondertussen is er van Jetlag al geen spraken meer ... Allemaal goed uitgerust en klaar voor een nieuwe dag. Gisteren en enorm zware dag gehad ! AUWCH onze voeten ... Ons ontbijt bij 'Starbucks' was verrassend lekker. Yoghurt met muesli en vers fruit en een reuze beker koffie. Gezond kan dus toch in New York !

Vanuit Nashville zijn we rechtstreeks naar Memphis gereden, zo hadden we de gehele middag om in Memphis te besteden. Na ingecheckt te hebben in het hotel zijn we vertrokken in de richting van de Mississippi. Van enige vorm van hoog water is nog helemaal niks te zien, ondanks dat stroomopwaarts de Mississippi (ver) buiten zijn oevers is getreden....

We finally left about 5pm on Friday afternoon...first stop was dinner at the Cracker Barrel in Oxford, AL.
