Well, the flock has landed, and although it's a tad chilly by Miami standards, you won't catch us winter-weary Iowans complaining. My last week in Peru went by so quickly, and I cannot believe its over. Tear. On Thursday, a group of us decided to pack it up and go to Huaca China for the weekend. That's spontaneous for you, making plans like 4 hours before leaving. Huaca China is one of the only oasis in South America, a beautiful place, located just 4.5 hours south of Lima. Are you sold yet? Belinda We have been in LA for a total of 12 hours now and have packed in a full day. The flight over was quicker than normal and uneventful. We are staying in a cute hotel in Marina del Rey which is just near Venice beach so we trotted off to expereince the bizarre aspects of Venice BEach. We got there by walking along the Venice canals which are gorgeous with fantastic houses along a canal.We then meandered along the beach, stores and watched the sunset over teh ocean. Hallo familie en vrienden! Ik schrijf dit terwijl we nog in het hotel in Miami zitten. Over een uurtje vertrekken we om onze camper op te halen! Eerst even een update over de afgelopen 24 uur. Na een goede nachtrust stonden we binnen no time aan de balie om in te checken voor onze vlucht naar Atlanta.
