Monticello, IN & Indianapolis
June 18, 2012 - Indianapolis, Indiana, United States
Continuing on our 2012 Eastern Trip, we left Clinton, IN and arrived in Monticello, IN on June 18.  We stayed for a week and a half in White Oaks Resort (ROD membership).  This park had a really nice lake, which is the best thing I can say about it.   We were camped on top of a hill with full hook up in a field, with no trees at all in 90+ weather.  The grass was completely dead because of the draught, which was not their fault, but they need to plant some trees.  We did have a couple...

Clinton, IN
May 28, 2012 - Clinton, Indiana, United States
Continuing on our Eastern RV 2012 trip, we arrived in Clinton, IN on Mon., May 28.   We stayed at Horseshoe Lakes RV Resort, one of our Thousand Trails membership campgrounds.  This was a very nice and well kept campground.  We were lucky to get an end site with a beautiful view of a small lake.   We met my brother, Steve, and his girlfriend, Carolyn,  at Lieber State Recreation Area for a picnic on Sunday.  Steve barbecued some great chicken, and we visited all afternoon and had a...

Batesville, IN & Indy 500
May 8, 2012 - Batesville, Indiana, United States
Our next stop on our Eastern 2012  trip was Batesville, IN.  We arrived at Indian Lakes Thousand Trails RV  Park on May 8th.   As soon as we arrived we saw some friends, Ted & Karen whom we met last year at this park.   After we were set up, they came over and stayed until after 11:00 pm catching up with our travels.  Of course, we had a happy hour while we were visiting.   We met two other couples that played pickle ball every day.  They tried to teach me, but I think it was a...

Visit to my Aunt Clifford in Indianapolis
May 18, 2010 - Indianapolis, Indiana, United States
Took a little detour from our Baseball Park Tour to visit my Aunt Clifford Short and Cousin John in Indianapolis, Indiana. Ever since I can remember, she’s lived in her current home and I’ve always wanted to go see her. Well it took me a few years to get there, but it was so nice to see her and her lovely home. She has so many wonderful antiques with stories to describe them. Hoping that she liked plants, I took her a lovely orchid in a yellow pot that turned out to go perfectly with...
