This trip begins as the story of a terrible flood in central Michigan that completely washed out roads all around us and delayed our departure by one day.  We had intended to take the ferry across Lake Michigan but had to cancel those plans and reboot. Just a quick note to let everyone know that we are in Winterton Iowa.  Drove through(OK...waited on the side of the road through) a wicked thunderstorm last night. Winterset is the birth place of John Wayne and the lacation for the filming of "The Bridgers of Madison County".  Will tour a few of thebridges today before heading to "Lake of the Ozarks" MO. May spend 2 nights there. Hope everything isgreat with everyone!!
