Well, it’s time to move on to our next ballpark. Branson has been a nice “holding pattern” for us as we’ve waited for our time in Kansas City and then the College World Series in Omaha. Jenny Barker, a dear friend from San Antonio, drove over 400 miles of twisting turning roads to Branson, Missouri to visit us. Now THAT'S a Friend! And, oh, it was so great to see her! We immediately set out to explore the Branson area outdoors with a trip to the Ruth & Paul Henning Conservation Area. This area is mostly forest up in the hills overlooking Branson. We chose one of the trails to hike and spent time wandering along the trail, talking, taking pictures of all the wild flowers...

Moonshine, Confederate Flags...Hell YES

Hello all...we are in Branson Missouri. Just got out of the hot tub and getting ready to see the Rankin Brothers in Concert. Last night we we stayed in a treehouse cabin at "Lake of the Ozarks". It poured rain all night. No bother though as we sat on the covered deck sipping refreshments. The rain just added to the event. NO MOSQUITOS!! Couldn't believe that in such a warm/humid climate there were no blood suckers! Stayed off the interstate which made for some interesting...
