 It was indeed a long dusty trail from San Antonio to Las Cruces. High winds and blowing dust all the way. I don't know how the cowboys did it on horseback. On the trip we passed Border Patrol check points. I think it's ironic that when this area was part of Mexico the Mexican government passed laws prohibiting immigrants from the US. Our next stop would be Las Cruces, New Mexico – another stop over on our way back to Los Angeles. Las Cruces was only a 5 hour drive so we were able to sleep in a little – no need to check out early. We left the motel at 10:00 but as I looked over the car I noticed that the front passenger side tyre was almost flat – Hmmmmmmm!
