Grand Teton National Park

(Part of Green Tortoise adventure trip taken June, 2009) Grand Teton National Park was most impressive. Grand Teton is truely a gem. There was still lots of snow in the park! Our group camped at Jenny Lake. On the evening we arrived, while we were setting up the group dinner, we had a chance to see a glimpse of a bear running through the trees. Day 8 – 4th of July
July 4, 2009 - Byron, Wyoming, United States
We left the ranch and headed east to Cody, WY where we met Craig’s aunt & uncle and watched the Cody 4th of July parade. After the parade and some lunch we headed into the Red Canyon to see the Wild Mustangs. We only saw one wild horse but it was still amazing to see the different layers in the rocks. We spent the rest of the day hearing stories from Mark & Pat. Pat convinced Craig to sing tomorrow morning at church so the two of them hunted through music books for the right song.

Day 7 – Cross Sabres Ranch
July 3, 2009 - Cody, Wyoming, United States
Today we did not drive anywhere! Yeah! It was a day of relaxing at the ranch. We got up in the morning for a cowboy breakfast then both Matthew & Haleigh spent quite a bit of time in the creek. They said it was very cold but they had fun and found walking sticks, rocks and even made a small bridge with some large logs. We surprised them in the afternoon with a trail ride on horseback. Day 6 – Yellowstone National Park
July 2, 2009 - Yellowstone Parke, Wyoming, United States
We headed north out of Grand Teton into Yellowstone National Park. They are doing quite a bit of road construction on the roads into and throughout Yellowstone so we were stopped for up to 20 minutes waiting for our lane’s turn to go through the 1 lane that was open.
