Dive Time!!

June 29, 2008 - Ko Tao, Thailand

howdie folks,

well as u all know by now im still in koh tao doing my divemasters course, im about 4 days away from finishing which means i can start looking for a job on the island, finally earn some money instead of spending all the time he he! Looking forward to working actually-well not really work is it? Diving all day, meeting new people all the time, looking forward to it. Know the dive sites really welll now and getting quite good at the navigation part seems i do better under the water than on land as u all know how bad my sense of direction is - i get lost in manchester for gods sake! Been doing lots of stuff around the shop preparing myself for the job and just enjoying it all really. Have my final divemaster initiation this week, me and the other 3 guys training have our snorkel test which involves drinking copious amounts of alcohol through a snorkel he he, should be a good night, hopefully will survive the final test!

Still loving life here and diving especially, saw sharks for the first time here yesterday which was amazing, was so excited to see them, this coming from the girl with an immense fear of jaws. The big whale shark is still evading me though which im not too pleased about, want to see a whale shark so badly, fingers crossed will see one soon!

As far as further travel plans go im not too sure yet, reckon i'll work here a month then go down to borneo and see the orangutans, climb the volcano there and dive in the sipidan islands which have some of the worlds best dive sites. Planning on meeting the rest of my travel family in oz in oct, will reunite with my boys: the 2 joes and sanne my dutch girl friend, will be amazing!!!

Hope all is well with all you folks at home and hope ive succeeded in making u all jealous he he

love you all loads, keep in touch with the wandered ok x x

Hi, our little scouse mouse... well you do make me jealous. Sounds like you are still having a great time, never heard of some of the places you have been to or are going to.!! You know O'level geography only gets you to Wales. Seems like there are as many sharks there as on the streets of Liverpool ha ha !! Hope you get to see some of the wedding photos, I understand Emma has put some on facebook. Had a great day and was not too drunk. (unlike you on some of your photos - whatever happended to Laura "I'll have a coke" ) Good luck in your exams/test thingy, I'm sure you'll do well. Lots of hugs/kisses LYNDA XXX
